Understanding Risk in an Automating world
In this show Pavlo and Bruce chatted about how the world we are living in is changing dramatically. More and more is being automated. Listen to the full show here.
We are living in a world that is accelerating faster than most of us can keep up. As an entrepreneur and business owner, forewarned is forearmed.
Industries that are being effected include the automotive industry, the financial industry, the healthcare industry, agriculture, the service industry and the defense industry.
Self-driven cars will alter cars and the roads they drive on. Financial advisors, stock brokers and accountants are becoming redundant. Pin-hole and robo-surgery are already widely used in the healthcare industry. Robots assemble cars and iPhones and drones have become commonplace in mining and agriculture.
So where does this leave us - jobs will be lost and new ones created. Is this the biggest risk to us?
Pavlo, speaks about a book he recently read and where it speaks of this change. It argues that while things will change a far bigger threat is that of the rise of the tribe. A tribe is a group of people that are fearful, angry and strikeout when there is a symbol that they can attach themselves to.
Something to think about given the recent US election results?
