Build while you Fly
Last night Pavlo and Bruce spoke about how it is very hard to build a business when you are busy with the day to day operations.
We at Aurik Business Accelerator work with business owners to build their business into assets of value. That’s a business that you could sell for a premium price or raise funding for its growth and where sales happen as a result of systems and not because of you.
But how do we get to build a business while we are busy in the day to day operations?
We create systems. A system is a series of activities organised into a sequence which can be measured and a job description and training created around them. Employ people to run systems not to perform jobs. Performance management should incentivise the employee to perform well and discourage poor performance (the carrot and the stick). When this is in place you can delegate.
The sum of the systems creates the customer experience!
But where do we start? We start with the customer experience. We need to look at what our value proposition is to our customer. We need to position our business to solve a problem for our customer. Identify what really matters to your customers and build a business that delivers those features really well.
And remember, 94.6% of businesses started never get sold. Don’t let this be yours.
